Woman falls on to 'L' tracks, makes contact with third rail

A woman was rushed to a suburban hospital late Sunday after falling from the platform of a Far North Side 'L' station on to the tracks.
The woman made contact with the electrified third rail during the fall at Chicago Transit Authority's Red Line Howard station in the 7500 block of North Paulina Street in Rogers Park, but was conscious and breathing as she left the scene.
The woman was taken to nearby St. Francis Hospital in Evanston for treatment. Her condition wasn't immediately available.
The woman of an unknown age fell on the northbound tracks just before 10:30 p.m.,
