Four people, including a 12-year-old boy, were seriously hurt Monday night.
The four victims were all wounded at about 8:55 p.m. in the 4100 block of
West Adams Street in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.
A 12-year-old boy was taken to Lurie Children's
Hospital in serious-to-critical condition.
The three other victims -- two men in their 20s and a man in
his 30s, were each taken to John H. Stroger Hospital, also in
serious-to-critical condition.
UPDATE:
One of the men, Christopher Banks, 21, was later pronounced dead, according to
police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.
A medical examiner's spokesman later confirmed that a second victim died, but
were still awaiting specifics on the man's identity.
