Two people shot one shot dead in Back of the Yards

Two people were shot in the 5100 block of South Honore Street in the Back of the Yards neighborhood about 1:30 a.m. A 29-year-old woman was shot in the shoulder and she's in guarded condition at Mount Sinai Hospital, police said. Police responded to the scene and found her with a gunshot wound. Someone drove a 32-year-old man from that scene to Holy Cross Hospital but he died from a gunshot wound to the head. The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as Antonio Buck, of the 5400 block of South Aberdeen Street. Police spotted the vehicle carrying Buck as it sped toward the Holy Cross Hospital and tried to pull it over, but the driver kept going. It was only when they arrived at Holy Cross that police realized the driver was shuttling a man who was shot.
