A 17-year-old boy was charged with first-degree murder for fatally shooting
another teenager in South
Chicago last week.
Keon Tolliver, 8700 block of South Exchange Avenue, was charged as an adult
for shooting Romelo Golden, 17, on June 13th, at around 10:15p.m.
Golden was standing in front of a residence on the 8900 block of South
Brandon Avenue with three others, when he was approached by the defendant.
Tolliver allegedly walked up to Golden shook his hand and shot him eleven
times within close range.
Golden, of the 8800 block of South Burley Avenue, was shot him in the neck,
forehead, arm and outer thigh.
He was taken to John
H. Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:39p.m.
