A 24-year-old Chicago man was pronounced dead this morning after the car he
was driving struck a viaduct in the Lower West Side neighborhood.
Carlos Apolinar-Marcial, 24, of the 2000 block of North Washtenaw Avenue died
atJohn H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
The man was driving a 1996 Nissan Maxima northbound at a high rate of speed
on the 3100 block of South Western Avenue when he lost control and crashed into
the viaduct.
The man was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the crash
