Suspect held in fatal stabbing on Near West Side

A "person of interest" was being questioned in the stabbing death of a man at his Near West Side home midday today.
James Thompson, 54, if the 1300 block of West Hastings Street, was declared dead at 12:43 p.m. at  John H. Stroger Hospital.
Police were called to the West Hastings home about 12:05 p.m. and found a man, at first believed to be in his 40s, stabbed in the chest
Central Area detectives were questioning a person of interest in the attack, which was believed to be domestic-related
