Shots fired at, by police in Chatham neighborhood

Chicago police traded gunfire with a man in the Chatham neighborhood Saturday night.

It’s unknown why police were pursuing the man in the 7800 block of South Vernon Avenue about 8:30 p.m. but he shot at police, and police also shot at him.
Nobody was hit, and police arrested the man on the same block and recovered a gun
