Chicago police issued a community alert this afternoon warning of robberies
in the Little village neighborhood in which the getaway vehicle is a green SUV
with handicapped license plates that read "THINK1."
The robberies took place at about 6 p.m. May 24 on the 2800 block of South
Sawyer Avenue and about 6 p.m. on May 28 on the 4100 block of West 27th Street.
The robbers approached the victims while they were standing on the sidewalk,
pulled out a gun, and demanded and forcibly took their cash.
The robbers were driving a green older model SUV with Illinois handicapped
plates that read THINK1.
The culprits were described as between the ages of 18 to 25, one of whom has
curly hair and a dark complexion.
