A young man was wounded this evening in a shooting in the Bronzeville
neighborhood on the South Side.
The victim, 21, was
shot in the chest in the 4200 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue at about 7:50
p.m.
Chicago Fire Department
officials reported finding the victim in the 4200 block of South Drexel
Boulevard,one block east of Cottage Grove, but it was unclear whether the
victim ran to Drexel after the shooting.
The man was taken to
Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stable
