Chicago police are asking for the public’s help
finding a man who beat and sexually assaulted a teenage girl early Sunday in the
Englewood
neighborhood.
The 17-year-old girl was walking in the 500 block
of West
Englewood Avenue about 2:10 a.m. when a man grabbed her from behind and
pulled her into a vacant lot near a railroad viaduct.The attacker beat and sexually assaulted the girl, then fled the scene. The girl ran home for help.
Police described the attacker as a black man, between ages 25 and 30, standing about 5-foot-5 and with a muscular build. He had a low box haircut and was wearing a brown-and-white checkered shirt and dark-blue pants
Anyone with information about the attacker is asked to call Area South detectives at 312-747-8271.
