Man charged with Brainerd homicide
A 28-year-old man was charged with first degree murder Friday in connection
with a March shooting in the Brainerd neighborhood.
Michael Gillespie, 24, died after getting shot in the chest on the 1500 block
of West 91st Street on March 20.
Jesse Pinkerton was charged Friday morning after he was arrested Wednesday.
Police say Pinkerton affiliates with a local gang but it’s not clear if that
played a role in the shooting.
