Two men, including one posing as a postal worker delivering a package, robbed
a Ravenswood currency exchange this afternoon.
It happened
about 2:30 p.m. at the Montrose Ravenswood Currency Exchange at 1808 W. Montrose
Ave..
When the
female worker was signing for the package, which was addressed to the owner of
the business, the man dressed as a postal worker and another man forced their
way inside past a secured door.
The robbers ordered her to the floor and she was bound with tape.
One pulled a gun and demanded to know where the
safe was, before they grabbed an unknown amount of cash from a drawer in the
back room and some CTA
bus passes and fled out the front door
