One woman died and three other people were injured in a car crash this morning in the Archer Heights neighborhood.
One car rear-ended another at 4950 S. Pulaski Road about 4 a.m., forcing the second car into a pole.
Nobody from the car that hit the pole was injured, police said, and the woman who died was sitting in the back of the first car.
Of the four riding in that car, two went to Mount Sinai Hospital and two went to Advocate Christ Medical Center, police said. One of them tried to leave the scene.

UPDATE:
A 22-year-old Chicago man was charged with reckless homicide with a motor vehicle in connection with a crash that killed an Oak Lawn woman early Friday morning on the Southwest Side, according to police.
Mario Mandujano, of the 4700 block of South Kedvale Avenue, was ordered held Sunday in lieu of a $350,000 bond following a hearing before Cook County Criminal Court Judge Adam D. Bourgeois Jr.
Mandujano, who remained in the hospital with severe injuries including a broken right leg, was also cited with driving under the influence, negligent driving, failure to reduce speed, and striking a fixture or other property.
Prosecutors said Sunday that Mandujano’s blood alcohol level registered just under the legal limit, at .075.
Susan Pintor, 23, died in the crash. She was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Police said Mandujano rear-ended a car and then crashed into a pole in the 4900 block of South Pulaski Road. Pintor was in the back seat.
Three other people in the car with Pintor, including Mandujano, were taken to area hospitals with serious injuries
