Police are seeking two robbers who slugged a man and stole his iPhone late last night in a Loop subway tunnel, the second robbery there in as many days.
A Chicago man in his early 30s was walking in the Jackson Street transfer tunnel that connects the Red Line to the Blue Line at about 11:15 p.m. Monday when two men approached from behind and demanded his iPhone.
The man was hit in the face and his iPhone taken, Guerrero said. A description of the robbers was not available. The victim declined medical attention.
A similar robbery occurred in the tunnel early Sunday.
A man in his early 20s was knocked down and left "momentarily unconscious" after someone attacked him and took his iPhone. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The two robberies occurred in the same area and seemed to have a "similar MO,"
