True, we're skipping a trip to Chicago that was scheduled for summer. Sounds like a drag go there.
The 'dark' side of Chicago will never change; some years homicides are slightly higher than others. It's vintage Chicago...check the list of former Governors, Mayors and Senators from Chicago that have ended up in the river, prison or Washington, D.C.
Just got back from Chicago - great city, great music, great food - lots of fun! I wouldn't cancel any trip there. I think it is mostly linked to south-side. If you stay close to downtown you'd be just fine. Great city can't wait to go back!
