A 25-year-old Chicago man faces a litany of charges arising out of an alleged attack Saturday night when, according to prosecutors, he repeatedly crashed his 2000 Ford Explorer into another vehicle on the city's Northwest Side.
Michael Bambouyani, 25, of the 5900 block of West Irving Park Road, is charged with three felony counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, leaving the scene of an accident with injury or death, following too closely, negligent driving, failure to reduce speed, failure to carry or display ID and driving without insurance or valid registration. Bambouyani limped into bond court Sunday wearing a wrinkled suit splattered with blood.
Bambouyani stepped in front of the victims' Nissan Altima about 10 p.m. near North Laramie Avenue and West Dakin Street, taunting the driver to run him over, according to prosecutors and court records. After a fight with the victims, Bambouyani got in his truck and ran it into the Altima several times, causing damage to the vehicle and injury to people in it. After fleeing the scene, Bambouyani was stopped by police in the 5500 block of West Montrose Avenue.
Bambouyani refused a field sobriety test and chemical tests to determine his blood alcohol level. But he smelled of alcohol and was "highly agitated and belligerent."
While getting booked into jail, Bambouyani proceeded to smear blood from a cut on his nose onto the walls of the processing room, according to court records. He spit blood on the windows and urinated on the floor, according to records.
According to prosecutors, Bambouyani's driving record includes charges of DUI in 2004 and 2006 and leaving the scene of an accident in 2006.
Bambouyani was found to have a valid driver's license. But his license was set to be revoked April 1 by the Illinois Secretary of State's office for "habitually being in violation of motor vehicle laws,"

This is a 2012 case and it took 9 years but you will soon see who the true aggressors are, there were 5 gang members in a car that tried to run me over, all but one left and went to the station with 2 girls and said one no and said one of them was driving the car. The detective asked me why the other 4 left I told him I dunno that's your job. They kept me in a room for 48 hours and refused to let me use the rest room. The two girls who lied had no injuries and they walked me in front of them before a photo line up. I requested to go to the hospital and they refused there was blood everywhere in the interrogation room when they were done questioning me. what the state did to me in jail when they kidnapped me for a quarter million (false arrest). Unfortunately due to malicious prosecution I have a felony, the Chicago police and state will pay for there sins as God sees fit, I trust in God to make it right. Even tho I lost everything and it's took 9 years of pain suffering joblessness and no rights I truly trust that God will do right by me.
Thanks for reading,
Michael Bambouyani
