A Cicero man has been arrested for arson on charges he set fire to an apartment on Chicago’s Southwest Side, killing a 60-year man who lived in an adjoining apartment.
Authorities said the suspect, Juan Adame, ignited a gasoline fire at about 4:30 a.m. last Jan. 12 in an apartment occasionally occupied by a woman with whom he was having a domestic dispute, but she was not there at the time of the fire.
The blaze on the 4200 block of West 63rd Street spread to an adjacent apartment, killing James Maca, 60, its sole occupant.
Adame, 38, was arrested Wednesday by agents with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
