6-year-old girl shot and killed in Little Village (Shocked yet Chicago?)

A 6-year-old girl was killed this afternoon after suffering multiple gunshot wounds in front of her home in the Little Village neighborhood, one of five people shot within an hour in attacks across the city.
The girl was on the front porch with her mother, younger sister and another male when a pickup truck pulled up in front of the house on the 3100 block of South Springfield Avenue around 3:40 p.m., and someone fired multiple shots out of the window, hitting the child.
Dead was Aliyah Shell, of the Springfield Avenue address where she was shot, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
The girl was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, where she was later declared dead.
Ogden District officers who responded saw a vehicle matching that description in the 3000 block of South Millard Avenue, arrested two males and recovered a weapon from the scene.
A man and a teenage boy were being questioned this evening at Area Central headquarters. They are both said to be affiliated with the Latin Kings street gang

Two teenagers were charged with the murder of a 6-year-old girl in Little Village who was likely caught in the middle of a gang shooting.
Juan Barraza, 18, and a 16-year-old boy charged as an adult who police did not name, have been charged with murder and aggravated discharge of a firearm in the slaying of Aliyah Shell. Both teens are said to be affiliated with the Latin Kings street gang

Barraza, of the 2800 block of S. Christiana Avenue, and the 16-year-old were both expected to appear in bond court on Monday.
