Two men in their 20s were standing on the 7400 block of South Blackstone Avenue in the Grand Crossing neighborhood when someone emerged from an alley and opened fire. One, 22, was shot in the chest. The other, 21, was shot in the right leg.
They arrived at Jackson Park Hospital about 1:30 a.m. The 21-year-old was transferred to Stroger Hospital.
Police said the two both initially refused to give their names to responding officers and described the pair as "uncooperative."
