A 19-year-old man was shot and wounded during a fistfight between two groups of teenagers at a West Side intersection.
The shooting happened at about 9:45 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Kedzie Avenue and Roosevelt Road.
Two groups of young people -- one from north of Roosevelt Road and another from the south -- quarreled and eventually traded blows in the busy intersection, according to authorities.
One of the combatants pulled a handgun and fired into the crowd, striking the victim twice.
No other injuries were reported.
The victim, who was struck in the arm and in the buttocks, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital for non life-threatening injuries
