Man found dead outside Near North hotel room

Police are investigating the death of a man who apparently fell from the 7th floor window of a Near North neighborhood hotel room.

Shortly after 10 a.m., officers were called and asked to conduct a wel lbeing check of a man who was staying at a hotel on the 600 block of North Wabash Street.

When they arrived to his room on the 7th floor and looked out the window, officers saw a body on top of an adjacent one-story parking garage.

The man was described as in his 30s.

Police were conducting a death investigation pending autopsy results
