One of two men suspected of robbing a Ukrainian Village pizzeria in January which was caught on video tape was ordered held without bail today after he was arrested in a separate incident for carjacking.
Jamaine Williams of the 6400 block of West Wabansia Avenue appeared in Cook County bond court, police said. He was ordered held without bail, according to court records.
He was charged with one count of vehicular hijacking using a firearm, two counts of armed robbery with a firearm, one count of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, two misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest, criminal trespass to a vehicle and 14 traffic violations.
In the latest incident, Williams robbed a man at gunpoint then stole the man's car on Feb.12 at 6:15 a.m. on the 7600 block of South Exchange.
Williams was also charged for his role in the Jan. 6 hold up with another man of the Village Pizzeria, 2356 W. Chicago Ave., at about 5 a.m..
The robbery began when the pizzeria was about to close for the night when two men walked in and asked for slices of pizza. After receiving the pizza one of the men brandished a hand gun and robbed the pizzeria.
The entire incident was caught on video tape. The tape also shows them hitting several people in the restaurant and shows money falling from the pockets of one of the men before they left the restaurant.
Kenya Glenn, William's alleged co-defendant in the pizzeria case, was arrested on Jan 20 and charged with one count of Armed Robbery with a firearm in that case
