An autopsy conducted today found that a 3-month-old girl died of multiple injuries due to child abuse.
The Cook County medical examiner's office ruled the death of Jayden Tufele, of the 5100 block of West Ainslie Avenue, a homicide.
Jayden's parents told police they took the baby to Children's Memorial Hospital on Monday after finding her in distress.
She died the next day. The child had suffered multiple injuries, including head trauma and broken ribs.
UPDATE: A Northwest Side man, Jovanni Tufele, has been charged with murder in the death of his 3-month-old daughter.
