A 52-year-old man died after being involved in a single-vehicle crash on the West Side this morning.
Tony Tabor of the 700 block of North Mayfield Avenue was pronounced dead at 6 a.m. at John Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, according to the Cook Count medical examiner's office.
Tabor was driving his vehicle on the 5300 block of West Chicago Avenue at about 5:30 a.m. when he crashed into a light post, police said. There were no witnesses but police said the 2002 Chevrolet Impala he was driving was facing westbound.
Tabor sustained blunt head trauma but an autospy is scheduled for Wednesday to make a formal determination oas to his cause of death.
