Arson investigators were at the scene of an early morning fire in the West Pullman neighborhood that appeared to have been intentionally set.
No one was injured in the fire at the home in the 12100 block of South Wallace Street.
Fire crews were on the scene of the fire at about 2 a.m.
While the back porch fire was quickly extinguished, Calumet District police said the blaze appeared to have been set with gasoline.
Police Bomb and Arson detectives, along with investigators with the Fire Department's office of fire investigations, were called to the scene.
No arrests had been made. Police believe that the victim and the person who set the fire were acquainted, but stopped short of identifying a suspect.
