Woman shot in Austin neighborhood

A woman was shot and wounded Sunday night in the city's Austin neighborhood on the West Side.
Police said the woman, 47, was sitting on her front porch just after 8:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of North Massasoit Avenue, when a gunshot rang out and she was hit in her right shoulder. The victim ran into her home and called police.
She was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood and was listed in good condition.
