Man dies after shooting in West Englewood

A 30-year-old man was pronounced dead today, one day after being shot in the West Englewood neighborhood.
Calhoun Paris, of the 2800 block of
West 66th Street
, died after being shot Monday shortly after 1 p.m. on the 2000 block of
West Marquette Avenue
, according to officials.
Paris was pronounced dead at 10:09 a.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office
According to police, Paris was on the street when a male offender began shooting and struck him multiple times. The person fled in a biege vehicle, police said.
No one was in custody. Police have launched a homicide investigation.
