At about 11:30 p.m. Sunday, police said a 47-year-old was approached by another man who struck up an argument with him in the 5200 block of West Crystal Street .
During the argument, the other man pulled a handgun and shot the victim in the abdomen before fleeing the scene on foot, police said. The wounded man was taken to Stroger in serious condition, police said.
