The body of a man was found in a garbage can Monday morning in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.
The unidentified man, believed to be in his 40s, was found inside a garbage can at in the 800 block of North Springfield Avenue and pronounced dead on the scene at 8 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala said officers responded about 7:20 a.m. and are conducting a “death investigation.”
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, the medical examiner’s office said.
Harrison Area detectives are investigating.
