Two teenagers were shot and wounded Wednesday night in the Park Manor neighborhood on the South Side, police said.
The victims, an 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl, were standing on the sidewalk on the 500 block of East 74th Street at about 10 p.m. when the gunman approached, police said.
He opened fire, striking the man in the back and the girl in the leg. It wasn’t immediately clear whether any words were exchanged before the shots were fired.
The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition, while the girl was taken to Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center in good condition.
Police haven’t made any arrests in the shooting. Calumet Area detectives were investigating.
