A 12-year-old boy was shot in the hand this evening in the city's West Pullman neighborhood, Chicago police said.
The boy was wounded in the left hand while standing on the street at about 7:30 p.m. on the 11600 block ofSouth Prairie Avenue , said police spokesman Phil Armstrong.
Early reports stated that the boy might have been wounded in a drive-by shooting, Armstrong said.
The boy, who was being treated by medical technicians at the scene, was in good condition, Armstrong said.
