27 YR SHOT MURDERED
About 11:56 p.m., another person was fatally shot on the South Side in the city's Englewood neighborhood.
That slaying happened on the 6500 block of South Lowe Avenue. Preliminary reports said a 27-year-old man suffered a wound to his abdomen and was taken to Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center where he died, police said.
The man was identified as Jason Mann of the same block where he was slain, according to a spokeswoman for the medical examiner. He was pronounced dead at 12:44 a.m. at the hospital.
