Woman, 60, shot on Southeast Side

A 60-year-old woman was shot and seriously wounded this afternoon in the city's South Chicago neighborhood, authorities said.

The woman was wounded in one of her legs at about 12:15 p.m. in the 3100 block of East 91st Street, according to police and fire officials.

She was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious-to-critical condition, Fire Department spokesman Richard Rosado said.
