A robber got away with cash from an Avondale neighborhood TCF Bank branch this evening after passing a note to a teller, Chicago police said.
The teller at the TCF branch in the 3500 block of North Elston Avenue passed an undisclosed amount of cash to the man just before 7 p.m., police said. The man never displayed a weapon, police said.
No injuries were reported.
The robber was described as a white man, about 6-foot-3, with gray hair and a birthmark on his nose. He was last seen wearing a green baseball cap and white sneakers. No age or weight description was available.
It wasn't immediately clear whether the bank had surveillance cameras that captured images of the robber.
