Police are seeking two men who attacked a woman they know in the Lawndale neighborhood today, punching her and then driving over her with a minivan.
The woman, 22, was hospitalized in serious condition following the fight about 6:35 a.m. in the 1300 block of South Lawndale Avenue, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Anne Dwyer.
The woman got into a dispute with at least one of the two men, believed to be 32, and he punched her in the face, according to a police report.
The other man, 33, then drove over the woman with a green 1997 Plymouth minivan, then backed up and drove over her again, police said.
Both men then fled in the minivan, according to the report. At least one of the attackers was believed to have been drinking before the dispute, police said.
The woman was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was being treated in serious condition, Dwyer said.
