Two people were wounded Sunday night in a shooting in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the city's South Side, police said.
The shooting happened shortly after 10 p.m. on the 4200 block of South Wabash Avenue, said Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.
Preliminary reports said a man, described as in his 40s, was shot in the abdomen and taken to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, Greer said. His condition was unknown.
Another victim also was wounded in that shooting and taken to Stroger Hospital. There was no information available about that victim's age, gender or condition, Greer said.
