About 3:45 a.m. this morning in the Canaryville neighborhood on the South Side, two men were victims of a drive-by shooting. The two men, 18 and 20, were in the 4500 block of South Normal Avenue when a dark-colored vehicle passed them heading southbound; the vehicle then turned around, someone shouted out one of the victim's nicknames, the victims started running, and shots were fired.
The 20-year-old sustained a gunshot wound to the right shoulder and was taken to Stroger; the 18-year-old was shot in the back and left thigh. Both of their conditions have stabilized.
