An 18-year-old man was injured when someone in a car next to his fired shots at a
red light in the Austin neighborhood early this morning.
About 3:40 a.m., the man was sitting in a vehicle, stopped at a red light,
when a black vehicle pulled up next to it in the 5700 block of West Chicago
Avenue on the West Side.
Someone in the black vehicle fired shots, striking the 18-year-old in the
leg. He was taken to West Suburban Medical Center, where his condition was
stabilized.
