The death of a 37-year-old woman who was found in an alley on the West Side
was ruled a homicide, according to an autopsy.
LaTasha Amos, of the 4700 block of West Adams Street, was pronounced dead at
3:20 a.m. at Loyola University Medical Center.
Amos was found in an alley on the 1100 block of South Mason Avenue.
An autopsy determined that Amos died of multiple injuries after Amos, who was
a pedestrian, was struck by an SUV. Officials ruled her death a homicide
