A 21-year-old man shot early Sunday morning in the Back of the Yards neighborhood
died late Monday night.
Brandon Torres, of the 4400 block of South Halsted Street in the Canaryville
neighborhood, was in a car with others near Puaulina and 44th streets about
2 a.m. when young men on the street started flashing gang signs.
The driver of the car Torres was in sped away but someone fired toward the
car, breaking a window and hitting Torres.
