The 93-year-old bank customer took out $3,000 in cash and a money order for
nearly $1,000, then started walking the nine blocks back to his home in the Back
of the Yards. Another customer standing close by followed him.
As the
man neared his home in the 4700 block of South Throop Street, a black car pulled
up and three men got out. They shoved the man to
the ground, went through his pockets, grabbed the cash and money order and sped
off.
But a neighbor took down the license plate number and
police said they have arrested one of the suspects. Charles Hall, 23, of the
22000 block of Latonia Lane in Richton Park, was charged with felony robbery of
a person over the age of 60. The two others are still being
sought.
The robbery happened last Friday afternoon after the
man -- who stands 5-foot-1 and is hard of hearing -- entered the Citibank branch
at 1751 W. 47th St.
As he left the bank, a man who had been waiting in line asked the teller,
"You know where a Fifth Third bank is?" He then followed the older man out.
Hall was driving a black 2000 Monte Carlo registered to the mother
of his child when he was arrested Wednesday,

WHAT KIND OF SCUM CAN DO THIS TO A 93 YR OLD ?????????????
Illegals are here taking the black mans jobs , blame the fucking Smelly Mexicans.
Are you kidding? They'd steal from their own mother if they had the chance. They have no morals.
It isn't the Mexicans, and anyone who ever step foot in the county knows who smells. You, nonshowering asses, scared to dry up, or mess up your hair...shower every 3 weeks, literally. This behavior is typical of African Americans. They think a past history of slavery entitles them to take or steal. Times are getting hard, this trend will further mare them, and unfortunately, good black people will suffer for it. This guy, should get his hands chopped off, so he never steals from an elderly person again. Anyone with elderly family members should be concerned.
