Two men were wounded in a possible "exchange of gunfire" in the East Garfield
Park neighborhood on the West Side early Monday morning
Police said two men were shot near Sacramento Boulevard - one found at the
intersection with Adams Street and the other was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital
by the driver of a white Crown Victoria car.
A 30-year-old man was sitting in the Crown Victoria about 12:15 a.m. when he
was shot in the buttocks and right leg. The driver took the
30-year-old to Mount Sinai Hospital in the shot-up car
A second man, 32, was found at Sacramento Boulevard and Adams Street, bleeding
from chest, hand and arm wounds. He's in critical condition at Mount Sinai
Hospital and police found a gun near him, but not on him.
Investigators also found different sized shell casings from two different
weapons near the scene
