Son of a community activist shot in Englewood

The son of a community activist and Hal Baskin Jr., the 25-year-old son of Englewood activist Hal Baskin, was shot in the stomach and buttocks around 5:40 p.m. Monday in the 6600 block of South Peoria Street. He was taken to Stroger Hospital and reported in fair condition. A  30-year-old man with him was grazed in the head and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was listed in good condition.
2 men shot in Austin

At about midnight, two men standing in the 200 block of North Central Avenue were injured when someone opened fire from a dark van,.
One of the men, 19, was struck in the back and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition. The other man, 20, was shot in the elbow and leg and also taken to Mount Sinai. His condition was stabilized

Teen shot in Englewood

At about 5:20 p.m. Monday, a teen was shot in his hand and leg on the 5700 block of South Winchester Avenue, said O'Brien. The teen was taken to Stroger, where he was listed in good condition.

13-year-old boy shot in Englewood

A 13-year-old boy was shot and seriously wounded in the same neighborhood. The shooting took place at 3:15 p.m. in the 5500 block of South Halsted Street,.
The boy suffered a gunshot wound to the back and was taken to Comer Children's Hospital in serious-to-critical condition

Man shot in Grand Crossing

At 3:45 p.m., a man in his 30s was shot in the head in the 7300 block of South Dorchester Avenue in the Grand Crossing neighborhood. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition,.
