24-year-old man has died after being shot in a North Austin neighborhood park in
June.
Kevin Sutton, 24, was declared dead at 7:50 p.m. Wednesday at Seasons Hospice
in Melrose Park.
Sutton was walking through Galewood Park in the 5700 block of West
Bloomingdale Avenue about 10:17 a.m. on June 2 when someone came up to him and
shot him twice. Officials said at the time that some one
stepped out of a vehicle at that location and shot him, then fled in the veicle.
Sutton suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to John H. Stroger,
Jr., Hospital of Cook County in critical condition.
Craig Bryan, 23, of the 400 block of West Washington Boulevard in Oak Park,
was arrested Aug. 20 and is charged with attempted murder in the attack.
