Chicago police have issued a community alert after a woman was sexually
assaulted at Rainbow Beach Park over the weekend.
The attack happened about 12:25 p.m. Sept. 28 as the 24-year-old woman was
jogging along the jogging and bike trail on the 7800 block of South Lake Shore
Drive at Rainbow Beach Park.
The woman was approached from behind by an unknown male who then knocked her
to the ground and sexually assaulted her.
The suspect is described as black, about 30 years old and between 6 feet and
6 feet 5 inches tall. He has a medium build, black shoulder-length dreadlocks,
and a medium brown complexion.
He was last seen wearing a red baseball cap, black T-shirt and blue jeans.
The man is said to have a foul odor
