A judge denied bail today for a man accused of fatally shooting a woman outside
his 35th birthday party in the Lawndale neighborhood last year after she refused
advances from someone else at the party
During a hearing today, Judge Israel Desierto denied bail for Tyrese Orr, 36,
of the 1800 block of South Springfield Avenue.
Orr is charged with killing Michelle Gregory in the early morning hours of
April 14, outside his birthday party in the 3900 block of West 19th Street.
The victim, 22, went out after work with two girlfriends and while she was
driving around with them, they received a phone call from two males who invited
them to a house party being thrown to celebrate Orr’s birthday.
Gregory and her friends did not know Orr and were introduced to him only as
“Money’’.
While at the party, a man she did not know began flirting with her and she
became uncomfortable because she had a boyfriend. Gregory and
her friends went into a bedroom where Gregory tried to call her father and
sister to ask them to pick her up. The man who had been
flirting with her overheard her phone conversation.
Gregory and her friends decided to leave and went outside to wait for their
work friends to see if they wanted a ride home, but Orr and the male who had
been flirting with her came out of the house and went up to them.
Orr told Gregory that he heard she was trying to “ bring some people into his
hood’’ and that she was disrespecting him before he pulled a gun and shot her
three times.
When she fell to ground and was gasping for air, her friends tried to help
her but Orr told them: “If you don’t get out of here you will end up dead like
your friend’’.
Her friends fled, called 911 and flagged down a police car as they drove
away.
Gregory, of the 7600 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue, was pronounced dead
at 5:02 a.m. that day at Mount Sinai Hospital.
The victim's friends were able to identify
Orr as the gunman when they were shown a photo lineup. A warrant for his arrest
was issued Oct. 17, and he was arrested on Monday. Witnesses
were able to identify him in a physical lineup.
Orr has a 2003 burglary conviction for which he was given 18 months of
probation but when he violated the probation he was sentenced to three years in
the Illinois Department of Corrections

Did she question his Moniker?
Does'nt matter what she questioned. No human being deserves to be killed like a wild animal. Moniker? His name is posted. His nickname should be and stay Bastarbitch, fits him like a glove. Hope he gives up the ghost in a prison cell.
Speechless!!!! Very Very Sad!!! What a coward move that was. To give up the ghost?! Naaa, that's too easy!
Money? playing at being some low rent floyd mayweather? must be lots of dust up in that attic, along with the rest of the toys. In a just world, the young ladies' family would get 10 minutes of undisturbed quality time with this jagoff. Sorry for your loss.
