A 22-year-old man is facing charges in connection with a shooting on Dec. 25, 2012
that critically wounded his girlfriend. Jesse Thomas, 22, of
the 1800 block of South Karlov Avenue, was charged with attempted murder,
aggravated domestic battery, and aggravated battery.
Thomas is accused of shooting a 27-year-old woman, who police at the time
said was his girlfriend. She was shot in the head and critically wounded during
an argument about 9:35 p.m. on Dec. 25 in the 1900 block of South Harding Avenue
inside an apartment.
