54-year-old man shot in South Chicago
At about 12:15 a.m., a 54-year-old man was shot in the ankle in the 9100 block of South Commercial Avenue in the South Chicago neighborhood. He was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.
53-year-old man shot in Gresham
A 53-year-old man was shot about 12:55 a.m. in the 8400 block of South Hermitage Avenue in the Gresham neighborhood. Police believe the man was walking into his home when he was struck in the lower abdomen. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized.
30-year-old man shot in Edgewater
On the North Side, a 30-year-old man was shot in the arm about 3 a.m. in the 5500 block of North Kenmore Avenue in the Edgewater Beach neighborhood. The man was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he was listed in good condition.
14-year-old boy shot in Bronzeville
A 14-year-old boy was shot at about 1:40 p.m. on the 4700 block of South Indiana Avenue in the Bronzeville neighborhood.The boy was shot in the leg and was taken to Comer Children's Hospital in good condition
21-year-old man shot in West Pullman
At about 5:03 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in the groin.The shooting happened on the 11600 block of South Loomis Avenue. The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition
18-year-old man shot in Gage Park
At about 5:51 p.m., an 18-year-old man was shot in the arm on the 5000 block of South Oakley Avenue
Man and woman shot in Austin
At about 8 p.m., a man and woman walked into Loretto Hospital on the West Side after reportedly being shot on the 4800 block of Adams Boulevard. The 26-year-old woman and her 23-year-old companion told police they were each shot in the foot
38-year-old man shot in Englewood
At about 11:45 p.m., a 38-year-old man was shot in the 5800 block of South Wolcott Avenue in West Englewood. Police said the man had been standing on the sidewalk with a group of people when a shooter on a bicycle opened fire. The 38-year-old was struck in the arm and the stomach and was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where his condition was stabilized.
36-year-old woman shot in Chicago Lawn
At about 11:45 p.m., a 36-year-old woman was shot multiple times in the 6100 block of South Rockwell Street in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side. She was taken to Advocate Christ, where she was listed in critical condition.
34-year-old man shot in Washington Park
At about 1 a.m. Tuesday, a 34-year-old man was shot in the stomach in the 5100 block of South Prairie Avenue in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side. The man was taken to Stroger, where his condition was stabilized.

To the African American community, we would like to extend a hand of gratitude to the individuals who have continuously and steadfastly have been an example to our community through working hard, educating yourselves and projecting a panoramic image of civility under the circumstances. To our brothers and sisters in the community that are psychologically depressed and feel as if you are anchored down in the struggle of societal civility, we would like to extend a hand of heartfelt compassion and kindly ask you to PLEASE stop the violence. There have been wars in past history where a host of soldiers have passed away. We have ceased from the destruction of human life, reflect and memorialize our fallen and learn from the circumstances that created the devastation. The articles above can be prevented. If you run from yourself, you will never get away. FREEDOM (free dome) free your mind and soul.
Black leaders should do more and say more. They only want to talk about one person getting killed by a cop or someone of another race, which is very rare. It's strange why there is no media spotlight this epidemic.
