Police are investigating the shooting of Andrew Turner, 23, of the 1100 block of South Independence Boulevard.
Turner was shot on July 26, at 12:52 a.m. as he was walking on the 3200 block of West Roosevelt Road on the West Side.
He was walking when a heavy set man went up to him and shot him before fleeing in a white van.
Turner was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9:34 a.m. today
