A 43-year-old man died Saturday afternoon after he was hit by a car Monday in the Bronzeville neighborhood.
John Lauricella, of the 300 block of Musial Circle in Bolingbrook, was pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital at 6:28 p.m. Saturday.
He had been hit by a car on July 29 in the 3000 block of South State Street
Lauricella was crossing State Street on 31st Street heading east about 1 p.m. when he was hit by a 1994 Ford pickup truck.
Cruz told police he had a green light and couldn’t avoid hitting Lauricella. Cruz was cited with driving without a license and failing to exercise due care with a pedestrian in the roadway.
